Corporate Traveller’s Customer Relationship Management Team has been named as a finalist for Account Management Team of the Year in the prestigious 2017 Business Travel People Awards
Organised by The Business Travel Magazine, The People Awards recognise individuals and teams within travel management companies and travel suppliers whose professionalism and business excellence make them stand out from their industry peers. The winners will be individuals and teams who are judged to be outstanding performers in their field.
The Account Management Team award recognises the team that takes a proactive and consultative approach to providing unrivalled customer service, care and value to their clients.
The Client Relationship Management (CRM) Team provides dedicated account management services to those clients spending £300k and above per annum on business travel. Their portfolio consists of 335 clients and the team’s exceptionally pro-active and dedicated approach has resulted in a 97% client retention rate. This is particularly impressive as only a handful of these clients have fixed contracts with Corporate Traveller.
The Team has been instrumental in driving major initiatives to ensure Corporate Traveller delivers high service levels and tangible added-value benefits that SME customers would not receive elsewhere. This includes:
- completing a strategic business evaluation for each client;
- introducing detailed quarterly client reviews;
- working closely with operations teams to manage our Amplify Programme which generates value-added savings for clients via ‘waivers and favours’;
- increasing clients’ use of VeloCT - our online technology tools;
- expanding our Travel Smart programme of exclusive benefits for clients such as free airport lounge passes and complimentary hotel extras.

They have negotiated with suppliers to source offers, raise awareness among clients of the TravelSmart programme and educate ops staff on new offers. As a result clients benefit from a range of complimentary extras such as free lounge passes and free breakfast/wifi/room upgrades at 5,000 hotels worldwide.”
The People Awards will be presented at a celebration lunch on Friday 26th May at Grange Tower Bridge Hotel, London.
