Corporate Traveller in Major Growth Surge -
£50m New Business and 30 New Staff
SME specialist travel management company, Corporate Traveller, has won over £50 million in new business since its launch by Flight Centre Group in February this year.
The company has also recruited 30 new business travel consultants to staff up seven new teams at its branches in Birmingham, Edinburgh, Liverpool, London, and Woking, plus the TMC has opened a brand new branch in Oxford. The recruitment programme will continue apace for the next 12 months with a further 60 staff being hired to operate in an additional eleven teams by end of June 2011.
New clients include Dyson which will be serviced by the new Oxford location.
CT Loyalty, the TMC's interactive web-based rewards scheme for travel bookers has also gone from strength to strength. Launched in March, the programme has already attracted some 700 members and around five travel bookers are still signing up per day.
"On average we have won £10 million new business per month over the last six months, and we have £19 million in the pipeline over the next two months," commented Tom Walley, general manager, Corporate Traveller.
"Our business model is all about providing small to medium sized travel-spend clients with localised, high touch, personal service, as well as cost savings," explains Tom Walley, "Our consultants work in small teams of no more than six based in a location close to the client. All our clients have one local dedicated account manager and a buddy who look after their travel requirements on a day to day basis. This is very different to the call centre type of approach used by our competitors.
"Another key USP is the fact that we can leverage off the buying power of our parent company Flight Centre Group, which is the third largest travel retailer worldwide. This gives our clients access to the widest range of product at the best rates."
