Flight Centre Appoints New UK Corporate Travel Leader
Steve Norris has been appointed to head up Flight Centre’s corporate travel divisions FCm Travel Solutions and Corporate Traveller in the UK. He takes over the role from Debbie Carling, who is stepping down to pursue personal interests.
Norris joined Flight Centre in 2002 and has held key leadership roles in retail, business analysis and product development. For the last two years he has held the position of Flight Centre brand leader. Prior to that he was head of marketing Flight Centre UK for two years.
Ciarán Kelly, general manager FCm Travel Solutions UK, and Graeme Milne, general manager Corporate Traveller, will report to Steve Norris.
"I am delighted to be taking on this role and look forward to working closely with Ciarán Kelly and Graeme Milne in further developing the FCm and Corporate Traveller brands in the UK, both of which have won significant new business in the last six months."
"The market continues to strengthen for business travel and our mission is to save companies time and money. According to the Guild of Travel Management Companies around £10 billion of the UK’s annual £24 billion travel spend is unmanaged. We are determined to prove to our customers that they will reap savings by working with us within a managed travel programme."
"I also relish the opportunity of taking a more active role in our global network which is going from strength to strength and now has a presence in 79 countries. In the USA for example, FCm has recently won the business travel accounts for some of the country’s biggest companies, totalling in the region of $60 million, and we have signed new partner agreements in Argentina and Costa Rica."
