The month of May has certainly been an eventful one for Corporate Traveller’s regional teams, who have exhibited at four different business shows and conferences in London, the south east and south west.
First up was Kent Vision LIVE
on May 10th, the South East's premier B2B exhibition and the largest event of its kind in the UK which attracted over 3,000 business managers, suppliers and entrepreneurs. Now in its 12th year, Kent Vision LIVE has evolved to become an unmissable fixture in the Kent business calendar, creating an annual opportunity for senior decision-makers to gather fresh ideas and practical advice on almost every aspect of managing and growing a successful business. Staff from Corporate Traveller’s Gatwick office were on hand to give expert advice to local companies on the most cost effective way to manage their business travel.
“It was a great to support this event and our team enjoyed meeting local businesses and raising awareness of the uniquely personal services we provide,” said Jamal Madhloom, Team Leader, Business Development, Corporate Traveller, Gatwick. “We had a strong presence in the hall and there was an overall sense of optimism among visitors and exhibitors. We also gave away our branded cupcakes which went down very well with visitors to our stand.”
Next it was the turn of Corporate Traveller’s Bristol team to attend the Business Showcase South West
, the largest free business event is the South West of England. This biannual B2B exhibition took place at Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol on May 17th and Corporate Traveller was among 200 exhibitors networking with over 2,750 local business managers and suppliers. The day included a programme of insightful seminars, workshops and keynote speaker sessions.
Also on May 17th, back in London, Corporate Traveller took part in the FD Surgery
, a one-day conference designed to deliver peer-level and expert advice, whilst diagnosing and treating business ailments. Held at the Royal College of Surgeons, the conference was attended by some 200 mid-market finance directors and featured a programme of keynote addresses and roundtable discussions with high profile directors and economists.
Last but not least, Corporate Traveller exhibited at The Business Show
at London’s Excel over the weekend of May 17/18. The Business Show offered a wealth of opportunities, advice and information crucial for ongoing business growth within a challenging economy. Registration was free and over 25,000 visitors attended from a cross section of industries with the primary aim of improving and expanding their business. This year’s show featured 350 exhibitors, 250 seminars and 12 master-classes. The impressive line-up of key-note speakers included Hilary Devey CBE, Former Dragon’s Den panellist and Founder of Pall-Ex, and Charlie Mullins, founder of Pimlico Plumbers.
“The stand generated a lot of interest particularly from visitors who were start-up businesses or entrepreneurs. We were able to share useful expert cost-effective travel advice with these SMEs, which will support their business growth going forwards,” said Kevin Crook, Assistant Manager – Business Development, Corporate Traveller – Wimbledon. “We also ran a promotion to win a bottle of bubbly and a £50 amazon voucher both days, but when we made the draw at 4pm, the winners had already left the show. So we have arranged to visit the winners personally at their offices to hand over each prize.”
