Corporate Traveller had an amazing year in 2018, with over half a million tickets and hotel rooms sold, sending clients to 1,367 destinations across 188 countries.
Phew, that's a lot of numbers. The launch of our technology platform YOUR.CT at the start of 2018 has opened up the market for Corporate Traveller, attracting a wider range of customers, who are looking for a blended approach of technology solutions combined with personal offline service and unrivaled account management.
And it seem's the personal service that our travel consultants can provide really knows no bounds - avoiding haunted rooms and even suggesting quantities of luxury items available in Middle Eastern states (we're just hoping nobody's been planning Oceans 14...).

Looking to the future...
According to Andy Hegley, UK General Manager, Corporate Traveller, the top two priorities for Corporate Traveller’s clients in 2019 will be cost savings and Duty of Care.
“Savings will still be high on the agenda for SME businesses, both in terms of identifying missed and realised savings, particularly as the UK enters the Brexit phase after March this year. So, it will be even more important that they get the best value and advice on their travel policy and spend,” he said. “For example, in 2018, on average, our account managers generated savings of 11% per year for each of their clients.”
“Travellers are also increasingly concerned about their personal safety and work-life balance,” continues Hegley. “Our clients are therefore looking for technology and tools that will support the wellbeing of their employees while they are on the move, as well as advice on travel policy guidelines that support duty of care obligations. We will therefore be announcing an innovative new mobile solution early in 2019 to support our clients’ travellers more effectively.”
2019 will also be a milestone year for Corporate Traveller, as we mark our 20th anniversary. We've come a long way since the company was first set up by one of Flight Centre’s UK retail managers in 1999. Today we have 500 staff operating in 20 towns and cities across England and Scotland, managing travel for over 2,000 UK clients and 200,000 business travellers.
“Clearly we are doing something right in terms of providing SME-spend clients with the service and value they need and we look forward to continuing to go from strength to strength, but we can never be complacent. Our business is built around our customer and will only continue to be successful if we focus on the delivery of a customer service experience that clients will not receive anywhere else. That’s why we will continue focussing on products and services that are tailored to our clients in order to retain existing customers as well as reach new clients.”
