JAL also offers an extensive domestic network covering 60 destinations within Japan. Recognised as one of the most punctual major international airlines in the world, and certified as a 5-Star Skytrax airline, JAL is committed to providing customers with the highest levels of flight safety and quality in every aspect of its service.

Why travel with Japan Airlines

With two direct daily flights from London Heathrow (T3) to Tokyo Haneda, JAL now offers a greater choice when flying to Japan. Avoid the morning rush with the JL042, departing the UK at 9:40am. The flight arrives into Haneda early morning the next day: ideal for those who want to maximise their stay in Japan, or those who have onward connections. Upon arrival, Business Class passengers on this flight will be given a complimentary short stay at FIRST CABIN Haneda Terminal 1. This new style of hotel has comfortable private cabins in which you can rest; plus showers, changing rooms and a lounge in which to freshen up.

JAL’s UK evening flight (JL044) departing at 7:15pm is perfect for those who need more time in the office or at home before their business trip to Japan, or those connecting from other parts of the UK.

At the airport, a dedicated check-in counter, complimentary lounge access and priority boarding are provided to Business Class passengers.

Onboard, you can:

  • Relax in a private space with a fully-flat bed with innovative airweave bedding,
  • Remain undisturbed throughout the whole journey as all seats come with unobstructed aisle access,
  • Enjoy a choice of Japanese or Western cuisine using only the freshest ingredients, carefully prepared by a culinary dream team, including Michelin-starred chefs - or order from JAL’s ‘Anytime You Wish’ à-la-carte menu at any time during the flight,
  • Enjoy a wide array of inflight entertainment including films, programmes and music, available on a 23-inch personal TV screen – the largest in its class,
  • Keep in touch with family, friends or the office with JAL’s inflight Wi-Fi.

Japan Airlines - the airline on the dot.

JAL has been awarded  FlightStats “2018 Best On-Time Asia-Pacific Airline” for the 7th consecutive year; and FlightGlobal “Most Consistent Winner”, an award given to the airline with the best on-time domestic and international flight performance over the past five years.
