Corporate Traveller is finalist for Best Specialist Travel Service in 2019 Business Travel Awards

Business Travel Awards 2018

Corporate Traveller Production Sports & Creative has been named a finalist in the prestigious UK Business Travel Awards for the category Best Specialist Travel Service.

This niche division of Corporate Traveller provides high-touch travel management services and logistics to the entertainment, sports and creative industries. Clients include music and touring bands, orchestras and artists; film and TV production companies, performing arts and fashion clients, national and international sports teams.

Organised in conjunction with Buying Business Travel Magazine, the Business Travel Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of the travel industry’s leading businesses, teams and individuals, who have performed outstandingly in their chosen field over the last 12 months.

Each year categories are carefully chosen to reflect the range of areas and skills that lie at the heart of a successful travel firm or department. The independent panel of judges, made up primarily of business travel buyers, devote a considerable amount of their valuable time, to review and mark each entry in order to identify those worthy of winning one of these highly valued awards.

The CT Production Sport & Creative team are experts in handling the complex and distinctive needs of their clients, everything from pre-trip planning, logistics management, and exceptional excess baggage demands, to coach and aircraft charters, VIP travel, visas and carnets, on-site support and 24/7 emergency assistance.

Corporate Traveller Product, Sport & Creative’s detailed written submission highlighted the wealth of expertise among team members, the unique features of the service such as entertainment fares and media excess baggage rates, and case studies demonstrating how team members solve major logistical travel challenges for their clients on a day-to-day basis.

One such case study involved travel and logistics for a production company making a film about penguins in Antarctica – it was the Corporate Traveller team’s task to get the crew to Punta Arenas to join a ship that would take them to film location with 80 pieces of baggage for the shoot.

Another case study described the challenge of getting a 40-piece orchestra’s musicians and instruments to Warsaw for a concert.  Some of the instruments were too valuable or fragile to be placed in the hold. The CT team therefore had to book seats for violins, cellos and trombones with the passenger named as ‘Ms Cello Gordon’ for example.

“We are thrilled that Corporate Traveller Production Sport & Creative has been named as a finalist for this award as it’s a real tribute to the team’s hard work and dedication,” said Abi Seabourn, Team Manager. “We are passionate about what we do and thrive on solving our clients’ unique travel challenges, making the seemingly impossible possible – we never take ‘no’ for an answer and are obsessed with attention to detail.”

The winners will be announced at the Business Travel Awards ceremony and gala dinner at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London on 21 January 2019.
