Corporate Traveller, the UK’s largest travel management company specialising in clients with an SME business travel spend of £50K to £2M, has ended its 2017/18 financial year on a high after winning new business with a total spend of £89M. In addition, the TMC saw a £13M increase year on year in traded new business turnover to reach £50M for the 12 months ending 30 June 2018.
Maritime Craft Services
Clients signed by Corporate Traveller since July 2017 include Maritime Craft Services, providers of support vessels to the marine construction and maintenance industries, and Taylor Hopkinson, a global recruitment company specialising in renewable energy. Both clients are managed by Corporate Traveller’s Glasgow office.
In addition, Corporate Traveller in Birmingham was appointed to handle Freeman Group, a leading global brand experience, exhibition and event design company based in Coventry, whose employees travel throughout the EMEA region.
Client sectors where Corporate Traveller saw a significant increase in new business year on year are: consulting - up by £6M (37 per cent); technology - up by £6M (26 per cent); and fashion – a rise of £2.4M (43 per cent); as well as oil and gas, which went up by £1.7M (31 per cent).
Business Travel Technology
Corporate Traveller’s new technology platform YOUR.CT, launched in January 2018, has also played a key part in helping the TMC secure new business. This includes clients such as Liontrust, an independent fund management company in Edinburgh who are using YOUR.CT for online bookings. YOUR.CT gives bookers, travellers and managers a single access point, via their customised dashboard, to functionality and information that is relevant to their business travel needs. This includes pre-trip approval, booking options, profile management, traveller tracking, travel alerts, reports, invoice data and travel policy. The platform can be accessed via PC, tablet or mobile device.
YOUR.CT MOBILE, a bespoke app fully integrated with YOUR.CT’s booking platform, has also seen considerable take-up as over 1,500 users have downloaded the app over the last six months, enabling them access to their flight and hotel bookings all in one place while they are on the move. Travellers can use the app for online check in, flight status alerts, weather forecasts, currency conversion and destination guides.

The increase in our traded new business to reach £50M is very significant as our clients are not on contracts and therefore not obliged or mandated to book all their travel with us. Even if we win a new client and they agree to work with us, the value of that business is hypothetical until the client starts booking and trading with Corporate Traveller.
